Welcome to Richleen Irish Setters.
Richleen is a Registered Kennel with Canadian Kennel Club. It is located in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland & Labrador. The owner Michelle Porter's breeding mandate is to protect the traditional Irish Setter health, temperament and structure.
Our Dames have acquired Grand Championship Titles in the Conformation Dog Show Ring, reaching top 10 ranking nationally since 2017. Both Dames have travelled Nationally to Dog Shows. GCH Captiva Kathleen was ranked top Irish Puppy in Canada by 150 points in 2018.
Our setters are well balanced and magnificent additions to any family and have a true love of children. They are extremely versatile and love Newfoundland back country. For the adventurous sole they are the perfect hiking, snowshoeing, skiing companions as they excel off lease in the country or trails and instinctively retrieve back. They have a zest for kayaking too!
Richleen Kennel exists today because of Jill Taylor of Captiva Kennel , Cambridge, Ontario , a trailblazer of 30+ years preserving the integrity of the Red Irish who entrusted, guided and mentored beyond measure me through my journey to become a breeder.
